Sunlight exposure
Indoor types such as Haworthia and Gasteria prefer bright but filtered light — a few hours near an east or north-facing window. Outdoor types like Aloe vera or Agave americana can handle intense midday rays once acclimated.
Temperature tolerance
Most indoor succulents thrive between 18–27°C. Outdoor ones often endure cooler nights (down to 5–10°C) and hot daytime temperatures above 30°C if soil drains well.
Transition tips
- Gradually move plants outdoors to prevent sunburn.
- Use shade cloth or morning sun exposure first.
- Bring sensitive succulents indoors before frost season.
