Read leaves for quick light diagnosis and reposition correctly.
Low light (etiolation)
Internodes elongate, new leaves are small, and stems lean toward windows. Growth slows and potting mix stays wet longer.
Excess sun (scorch)
Bleached or crispy patches appear on leaf surfaces, usually on the sunniest side; edges brown and curl. Mix dries quickly and temps spike near glass.
Fast fixes
- Move 0.5–1.5 m closer/farther from the window to balance light.
- Use sheer curtains to diffuse harsh afternoon sun.
- Rotate the pot weekly for even growth.
