Light & heat

Too much: taco-curl, bleached patches, crispy tips. Step back from glass or diffuse with sheer curtains. Too little: limp leaves, slow growth; move closer to a bright window.

Temperature & drafts

Cold blasts or AC can trigger sudden droop and cupping in tropicals like Peace Lily and Monstera. Keep temps steady and avoid vents.

Humidity

Thin-leaved plants (e.g., Calathea) curl in dry air. Group plants, add a tray with pebbles + water, or use a humidifier to reach 50–60% RH.

Placement rules

Rotate weekly for even light; give 10–20 cm air gap from walls for airflow; avoid afternoon sun on thin foliage.
