Spot gray mold early on spent blooms and wounds and stop the spread indoors.
Classic look
Velvety gray fuzz on senescing flowers, pruning wounds, or crowded stems. Nearby tissue collapses quickly in cool, humid, still air.
Where it starts
Spent blooms, damaged leaves, and dense canopies. Often follows overwatering, cold drafts at night, or prolonged leaf wetness.
Control now
- Remove affected tissue into a bag; sanitize tools each cut.
- Increase airflow and keep leaves dry overnight.
- If needed, apply labeled bio-fungicides; avoid spraying late evening.
