When succulents bloom
Most succulents bloom in spring or early summer, responding to longer days and warmer temperatures. Aloe and Kalanchoe can bloom in cooler months when given bright light indoors.
Feeding for flowers
Use a diluted balanced fertilizer once a month during active growth. Avoid high-nitrogen mixes — they promote leaves, not blooms.
After-bloom care
Remove faded flowers to redirect energy. For monocarpic plants like Agave americana, pups will continue the cycle after the mother plant blooms and dies.
Light adjustment
Keep blooming succulents bright but sheltered from harsh afternoon sun to extend flower life.
